Thanks to its integrated directional antenna, the device can connect to transmitters even in extremely remote rural areas, making it possible to provide internet access in places where nothing else is available. The modem supports 4G LTE (Cat. 4), 3G and 2G networks, with speeds of up to 150Mbps downlink and 50Mbps uplink, and it utilizes 2×2 MIMO on the downlink.
