The MDU splice enclosure has two oval cable ports and 16 ports for DROP cables. The FTTX MDU is a box type splice enclosure with 18 inlet/outlet ports. This type of enclosure is used to protect spliced fiber optic cables and splitter applications in overhead and wall mounted fiber optic installations.

The polycarbonate (PC) material of the enclosure is a high quality material that is resistant to UV radiation, low (-40°C) and high (+60°C) temperatures and chemicals, making it suitable for overhead, duct and buried installations. It is designed for easy and efficient installation while providing a proven fiber management system. All metal parts of the coupler are made of corrosion resistant materials.
